Executive Brief: Arvind Manocha

Arvind Manocha, President and CEO of Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts, sat down with us to share his thoughts on the vital role that the Wolf Trap plays to artists and his overall commitment to the arts. His comments highlight how leaders in the arts community should approach their responsibility to provide a place where emerging talent can shine and grow.

Quick Bio:

Manocha joined Wolf Trap in January 2013 after stints at both the legendary Hollywood Bowl and LA Philharmonic Association. Since arriving at that Wolf Trap, Manacho has directed the Foundation’s diverse year-round artistic programming to include legends, chart-toppers and emerging talent from across genres like r&b, pop, rock, classical, jazz, blues, opera, dance and “world music.”  The foundation has seen a dramatic increase in new memberships and a record number of sell out shows under Manacho’s leadership.

“The move towards hyper localism is so important. It’s not just about loving your city, it’s about loving the city within the city. It’s about knowing your neighbors, supporting the businesses just outside your doorstep, and creating a community where you live. Neighborhood pride helps to bring us all together. ” — TORIE PARTRIDGE
